Product Description
Regardless of how clean you think your paint is, there are still contaminants stuck on the paint that you need to remove before waxing or polishing your paint. Paint cleaning clay leaves behind an ultra-smooth surface that will make your wax adhere better and last longer, too. It also makes the wax much easier to buff out, reducing your elbow grease substantially. Clay is safe for all paint and also works great on glass to get it squeaky clean. To use, just remove the clay from the wrapper, spray the paint's surface with Speed Shine (acts as a lubricating fluid), and rub the clay back and forth until there is no drag. This means your paint is clean. Unlike other cleaners and polishes, no buffing or hard circular motions are necessary. Takes literally one fourth the time as it would using paint cleaner. Follow up with Best of Show Wax and your paint will look stunning. The large 8 ounce (226 gram) bar cleans about 7 vehicles, depending on the amount of contamination your surface is covered with. The results are amazing.

The clay was pliable, easy to use. For the lubricant, I just used water and a little car soap and made sure to lubricate the surface well.Being a beginner, I wondered how the clay could pull dirt if there was a lubricant. I really could feel the clay go over the dirt particles embedded in my paint. If there aren't any particles stuck, the clay glides right over the paint. If there are particles stuck, you can feel the clay get "stuck" or have resistance when you try to glide. It's not as smooth. The roof and towards the bottom sides were the worst. I still have about 3/4 of the clay left after the first use and I can probably reuse the 1/4 I did use if I just fold it over. Great product! This stuff is ludicrous! Works with so little effort that you don't realize it's doing anything until you run your hand over the area you just clayed and realize a baby's butt feels like sandpaper in comparison. Lubricate with Griot's waterless car wash or speedshine, or any similar product and you will absolutely be amazed at the results.While this product is not that drastically different from most name brand clays, it is about twice the size AND easy to break off and use only a portion instead of the whole chunk like some other products. Griot's Garage works perfectly and seems to be much more effective at removing dirt particles than Meguiar's. However the clay is much softer than Meguiar's and sticks to finger tips and inside finger nails after a whole day of claying three cars. If it could be a bit more rigid I would've give this a 5-star. |
