I'm waiting for my resume to print, so I might as well multi-task...lol
I've been using POR-15 since about 2003, mostly on my 70 big block Camaro. It works very well, with some caveats:
1. prep is the key.
2. Actually, using the right paintbrush is the key.
3. No, using a couple of thin coats instead of one thick coat is the key.
4. actually, these are all keys to success, with a fifth being, if you can remove the part and lay it flat, instead of trying to paint the part "in place", you'll be money ahead.
I have been doing a partial restoration on my Camaro for the last six months or so, mostly the front suspension, but other parts as well.
I have made the mistake of trying to shortcut the painting of the suspension by trying to paint it in place, big mistake, so now I've removed it, cleaning it properly, and doing it right.
Also, the top coats, such as chassis coat and such, I don't care for. For starters, it's a heck of a lot of paint on a car... Read more

Painted my truck frame with POR-15. This paint is super durable and long lasting. Do not get any on your skin! Paint thinner won't touch this stuff. Must be scrubbed off.

Used this stuff on a boat with heavy oxidation after trying almost everything else on the market to bring back the clear coat. This stuff is amazing. We used this on an older red colored boat and it looks almost new again. I highly recommend using this product.

I do car detailing and my cars have to look perfect new all the time. That has to go the same for my trailer. Got a used trailer inside was like new and I think this trailer sat unused for a few years in the sun.
Now I need to get the oxidation off this used trailer we just bought. I tried regular Mcquires for cars clearcoat cleaner compound on a 3000 rpm polishing wheel. Not good enough.I ordered through Amazon McGuires RV 3 step oxidation compound 49, polish and wax. Fiberglass is a tougher finish then clearcoat and this Oxidation compound is designed to cut through and really remove all the garbage and oxidation built on the finish. It restored my dull slightly off white finish back to bright white and very shiny. As well as me tired, But its well worth the effort. If you are taking on a whole boat or RV by the 3 step Rv kit for 25.00 on Amazon. I bought an extra bottle of 49 heavy duty because 1 16 oz bottle ran short.

This comes with decent directions - and is easy enough to apply. It works extremly well on the gas tank and essentially dissappers. For a day you can see a few bubbles but the sun soon makes them dissappear.
